This Privacy Policy explains how Healthy Body Index (“HBI”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by Xpand Digital, handles information in connection with our marketing website at healthybody.co, our email waitlist, and our iOS application (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Waitlist information. When you join our email waitlist, we collect your email address and, optionally, any details you choose to provide, along with the source or page from which you signed up.
• App account and food logs. If you create an account in the HBI app, we collect your account credentials and the food-logging data you enter — the foods you record, servings, and the resulting scores — so the app can function.
• Website usage and analytics. When you visit healthybody.co, we collect limited technical and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring links.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Operate, maintain, and improve the Services;
• Send waitlist and launch communications you have asked to receive;
• Provide app features such as food logging, scoring, and your personal history;
• Understand how the website is used so we can improve content and performance;
• Protect the Services against fraud, abuse, and security threats; and

3. Service providers and subprocessors

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the Services. These providers process information only on our behalf and under contract:

• Supabase — database and authentication hosting for waitlist entries and app account data.
• Vercel — hosting and delivery of our website.
• Analytics providers — privacy-conscious measurement of website usage.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to remember your preferences and to measure aggregate usage. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function as intended without them. Where required, we honour applicable consent choices before setting non-essential cookies.

5. Data retention

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Waitlist emails are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. App account and food-log data are retained while your account is active and deleted within a reasonable period after account closure.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights — including deletion of your data — email us at privacy@healthybody.co. You can unsubscribe from waitlist emails at any time using the link in any message.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls with our providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

We and our providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer information internationally, we take steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law.
